Dear Colleague
On behalf of the Australian Orthopaedic Association (AOA) and Asia Pacific Knee, Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine Society (APKASS), we look forward to welcoming you to Sydney in 2018 for the AOA Continuing Education Program and the biannual APKASS Congress, which promises to be a highlight of the orthopaedic conference calendar.
The meeting is to be held at the Sofitel Wentworth in the heart of Sydney, and the scientific program will provide an unparalleled scientific experience covering all areas of knee surgery, of sports medicine and arthroscopic-related
surgery.
This meeting format will be unlike any previous meeting seen in Australia. There will be many talks on key topics from world experts, and the program will be designed to optimise the experience and involvement of the registrant, with the inclusion of debates, audience interaction, case-based discussions, surgical demonstrations, and breakout sessions for demonstration of specific techniques and closer interaction with key opinion leaders for smaller groups.
Concurrent Scientific Sessions will be dedicated to:
Knee: comprehensive coverage of all areas of knee arthroplasty and knee reconstructive and sports medicine related surgery.
Shoulder and Elbow: coverage of all areas of arthroscopic and sports medicine related surgery.
Hip: coverage of all areas of hip arthroscopic techniques as well as management of osteoarthritis in the younger active patient, including arthroplasty.
Foot and Ankle: coverage of all areas of arthroscopic and sports medicine related surgery.
Orthopaedic sports medicine topics including non-surgical management.
Original research covering all topics related to knee surgery and other arthroscopic sports medicine procedures.
We have a panel of over 50 invited speakers from around the world, as well as 50 from Australia and New Zealand.
In addition to the wonderful scientific program, there will also be a fantastic social program and opportunities for interaction with colleagues from around the world, as well as the opportunity to visit our wonderful city at a beautiful time of year.
We look forward to welcoming you all to Sydney next year for what should be a wonderful event.
Best wishes,
Kind Regards
Andrew Oppy
